Police in Haiti have now killed seven men suspected of assassinating President Jovenel Moïse, while six others, including a US citizen, have been detained.

A manhunt is underway for more suspects, with Haitian Police chief Léon Charles saying suspects will either be killed or captured.

“The pursuit of the mercenaries continues,” Charles said Wednesday night in announcing the arrest of suspects.

“Their fate is fixed: They will fall in the fighting or will be arrested.”
