Seventy More Test COVID-19 Positive, Health Ministry Records One More Death

Seventy new confirmed COVID-19 cases took Trinidad and Tobago’s tally to 2,347 on Tuesday morning, with 1,566 of those cases currently active. 

The death toll has climbed by one, for a total of 38 deaths related to the virus. 

The Ministry of Health, in its morning update, said the patient is an elderly female with co-morbidities. 

Meanwhile, nine patients have been discharged from hospital. 

The Ministry also clarified that the 70 cases recorded on Tuesday morning are from samples taken between August 28 and September 7.

COVID-19 Positive Patients in Hospital – (100)

One thousand, three hundred and fifty-eight (1,358) patients are in home isolation under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical officer of Health (CMOH) offices.

Seventy (70) new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the CMOHs.
