Several of WASA’s Water Treatment Plants in North East and North West Trinidad as well as parts of Tobago have been impacted by heavy rainfall on Wednesday.

WASA says operations have been stopped due to clogged intake screens caused by high turbidity as a result of flooded river conditions.

Meanwhile,  the Yellow Level Adverse Weather Alert issued by the Met Office will remain in effect until 8 o’clock tonight.
