Soldier ticketed for failing to provide his vaccination card in a safe zone

Following an exercise conducted by the Southern Division police yesterday, December 12, a 24-year-old soldier and a bar owner were among 27 persons who were ticketed for safe zone, traffic, and face mask violations during anti-crime, road traffic, and safe zone exercises. 

 

The exercise was conducted between the hours of 10 pm and 2 am. The soldier who lives at Bonair Gardens, Arima was ticketed for failing to provide his vaccination card, in a safe zone, while the proprietor was ticketed for allowing an individual into the safe zone without identification.

 

Twenty-two more people were also issued with traffic tickets for traffic offences, while four people were arrested for driving under the influence and five people were issued tickets for not wearing a face mask.

 

The exercise was coordinated by Snr Supt. Lucia Winchester and supervised by Supt Carty, and ASP Ramdass, Sgt. Sankar and included officers from the Mon Repos Police Station, Safe Zone Unit, CSI South Photography and the TTR.
