Soldiers, Police Granted $400K Bail For Forcing Man To Consume Alcohol

By Newsroom

Police officers Anthony Alert and Kadeem Cadiz, along with soldiers Kevin Rawlins and Dane Williams have each been granted bail in the sum of $100,000 for their alleged role in forcing a civilian to consume alcohol while on duty.

They were formally charged with common assault and misbehavior in public office last Friday, following a two and a half month investigation by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.

The March 28th incident, which was filmed and appeared on social media, showed the victim, Dennis Moses, being forced to drink alcohol and conduct exercises along George Street. The men in the video could be heard, though their faces not seen, laughing scandalously at the man’s apparent suffering.

The matter has been adjourned to September 16th.
