Solider To Appear In Court Charged With Murders of Ex-Wife, Mother-in-law

By Newsroom

Regiment officer Tesson Bradshaw will appear before a High Court Master today, charged with murdering his ex-wife Calida Schamber and her mother, Carmelita DeLeon at their Glencoe home last Tuesday.

In addition to the murder charges, the 48-year-old soldier, whom the deceased had a protection order against, also faces two counts of misbehaviour in public office.

Meanwhile, the Trinidad and Tobago Family Law Association has recommended that anyone who is charged with domestic violence should be mandated to hand over firearms, as a condition of bail.

In the case of members of the protective services, the Association further said supervisors should be required to be at bail hearings and to ensure that anyone charged with domestic violence should not have access to a gun in the course of their duty.
