Sprint Legend Usain Bolt Facing JMD Billions In Losses Due To Suspected Fraud

World Record Holder and Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt is facing a loss of over JMD $1.2 billion due to major fraud surrounding his investment at Stocks and Securities Limited (SSL) in Jamaica.

According to the Jamaica Observer Bolt is among more than 30 other people whose investments at SSL are believed to have been fleeced by a wealth advisor.

According to SSL, the matter has been forwarded to the relevant law enforcement authorities.

In a statement, the company added, “To ensure this, we have taken steps to secure those assets and strengthened internal protocols to detect suspicious activity in the shortest time possible.

According to reports it is believed that about US$2,000 out of a little under US$10,000 is left in Usain Bolt’s Stocks and Securities Limited account.

 

The FSC also said it will continue its investigations into matters related to SSL.
