Eighty year old Carltus Mudie has died at hospital where he was being treated for gunshot wounds after being shot by police at his home in Moruga on Wednesday.

Mudie was shot during a standoff with the officers, after he shot and killed his wife, Sylda Mudie, and injured his son.

Mudie, also known as “Sankar”, was shot by responding officers after he refused their directive to drop his licensed firearm after shooting his wife.

The incident happened at Edward Trace in Basse Terre Village.
