Three 19 year olds will appear in court today, charged with the September killing of Mickel Berrot.

David Floyd, aka ‘Farmer’, Selene Belle, aka ‘Mariah’ and Rivaldo Beckles, all of Kelly Village, Caroni, were charged with murder, on the advice of Director of Public Prosecutions, Roger Gaspard SC.

The trio, two young men and one young woman, are accused of robbing the deceased before fatally stabbing him in Caroni.

On Friday 25th September, Berrot and another man arrived at the Caroni Police Station. Berrot, who was suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds about the body, reported that they were victims of a robbery.

Both men were conveyed to the Mt Hope Medical Sciences Complex for medical treatment. However, Berrot succumbed to his injuries whilst undergoing treatment.

The three accused will appear virtually before a Chaguanas Magistrate.
