The Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries (MEEI) has confirmed that an employee, Mr. Allan Lane Ramkissoon who was flown to Colombia for treatment, passed away on June 18, 2023 in Colombia.

The Ministry confirmed that it received a report of an incident at Niquan Energy Trinidad Limited (NETL) where a Massy Energy Engineering Solutions Limited Employee, a pipe-fitter, suffered severe burn injuries while conducting preparatory work for planned maintenance works on the plant.
