The United States Has Recorded More Than 200K Deaths From Coronavirus

By Newsroom

The US marked yet another grim milestone in its fight against the coronavirus on Tuesday, as the  death toll from the virus passed 200,000.

It comes amid an increase in cases in a number of states, including North Dakota and Utah.

More than 6.8 million people are known to have been infected in the US, more than in any other country.

Many Americans continue to point fingers at President Donald Trump, for downplaying the virus at the start of the pandemic- something he admitted to during a recorded interview with US journalist, Bob Woodard.

When asked about the milestone at Tuesday’s White House Press briefing, Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, defended the President’s handling of the virus.
