A 38-year-old labourer from Wallerfield, Arima, has been arrested on for the offence with sexual touching of a minor.

According to the TTPS the victim, is a six-year-old female, who reported to a family member that during the period April 1 and 19, April 2020, the accused, a male family member, who was charged with the responsibility of babysitting the victim, touched her on her vagina.

The TTPS also stated that: “A report was made to the Child Protection Unit, who conducted enquiries and arrested and charged the accused. The Arima man was charged and expected to appear at the Arima Magistrates’ Court today April 28th, 2020.”

The arrest was spearheaded by the Child Protection Unit, namely W/Supt. George and ASP Nowbutt and supervised by Inspector Baptiste while Cpl Maurice led the investigations.
