Through quick work and strategic coordination by officers of the Central Division, resulted in the three alleged bandits were arrested shortly after they allegedly stole a quantity of cash and valuables from a female victim early this morning, August 12.

The arrest has been making the rounds on social media.

According to the TTPS, the woman reported to police that she was standing along the South Bank Road, St. Helena around 6:45 am on Saturday 12th August, 2023, when she was approached by three men who demanded she hand over her belongings.

The men proceeded to relieve her of a quantity of cash, one cellular phone and a device before escaping in an awaiting vehicle. An All-Points Bulletin was transmitted from the Command Centre and officers were able to intercept the vehicle in the Caroni district
shortly after.

The three suspects were arrested and the stolen items recovered. Investigations are ongoing into the matter.
