Nomination Day for the upcoming Debe South Local Government Bye-Election has ended. The Elections and Boundaries confirmed that three candidates filed nomination papers to contest the polls.

The three political parties up for the seat are the People’s National Movement (PNM), the Progressive Empowerment Party (PEP), and the United National Congress (UNC).

The candidates are:

LORENZO RODNEY SAMMY – (PEP)

KHEMRAJ SUNIL SEECHARAN – (UNC)

JUDY SOOKDEO – (PNM)

The electorate for this upcoming Bye-Election is 7,124. The Local Government Bye- Election in
the Electoral District of Debe South will be held on February 7, 2022.
