Three Men Arrested And Charged, in Tobago, For Sexual Penetration Of A Minor.

Three men will appear before a Scarborough Magistrate today to answer to charges of sexual offences against minors. This follows intense investigations by the Tobago Division Child Protection Unit (CPU) in which two of the suspects surrendered to officers.

In the first incident, a 16-year-old female victim reported to CPU officers that she was sexually assaulted by a man during the period of May 2019 – April 2020. The suspect who surrendered when he realised police were looking for him and was subsequently arrested and charged with 17 counts of sexual penetration.

In the second matter, a seven-year-old girl reported that she too was sexually assaulted by a man who also surrendered upon learning that he was wanted.  The 25-year-old man was charged for one count of sexual penetration.

In the third incident,  a 15-year-old victim told the police that she was sexually assaulted by a man on January 18th, 2020 and a 20-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged for one count of sexual penetration.
