Tobago Man Held with Revolver

The TTPS has disclosed that a 35-year-old Tobago man, who was allegedly held with a gun last night in Harmony Hall, Tobago is currently in police custody at the Scarborough Police Station assisting detectives in connection with the find.

The suspect, who was allegedly held with a .38 revolver and four rounds of .38 ammunition, is facing possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition charges.

According to police reports, at 10.30 pm on March 14th, 2024, police officers attached to the Scarborough Criminal Investigations Department (CID) were on an exercise along Main Road, Mt. Grace, in the vicinity of Harmony Hall Junction, Scarborough, when they observed a male
suspect walking suspiciously in an easterly direction along the said road.

The CID detectives also observed the man sporting a black strap bag slung across his chest. Police approached the man and upon questioning him, he allegedly began running away.

He was chased and quickly apprehended by police who carried out a search of the man and the bag. During the search, CID detectives allegedly discovered a wooden handle .38 revolver firearm loaded with four rounds of .38 ammunition. The suspect was immediately taken into police custody. Sgt Jonas is continuing investigations.
