By Newsroom

A Tobago student is one of two active Covid-19 cases on the island.

The child, who attends the Mason Hall Secondary school, will be hospitalized and the school has been closed for a full sanitization.

This was confirmed by Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh during Monday’s Covid-19 press briefing.

Tobago recorded its first case of the virus in 30 days over the weekend, and another one in its update for today.

There are now 157 cases on record, out of a total of 2,949 samples submitted to the Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) to date.
