A female British national who recently arrived in Trinidad for Carnival festivities is being treated at the Port of Spain General Hospital for a gunshot wound to the leg after catching a stray bullet as gunmen killed to men along Ariapita Avenue, Woodbrook on Saturday morning.

According to reports, the incident happened around 4:25am.

The two deceased men have not yet been identified.

Officers attached to the Woodbrook Police Station responded to the shots, where they discovered two men lying motionless with gunshot wounds.

One of the men died at the scene, while the other succumbed to his injuries at hospital.

Investigations are continuing.
