There will be a traffic disruption along the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway on the North Bound Lane between the Gasparillo Flyover and the Claxton Bay Flyover this week. According to the Ministry of Works and Transport, they will be conducting repairs to cable barriers from Tuesday 11th to Friday 14th January 2022. The hours of work are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, daily.

Traffic will therefore be limited to a single lane within a section of the work zone. Motorists are also advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers.

Yesterday, January 8, a man identified as Farley Quintal died at the San Fernando General Hospital following an accident involving his silver AD station wagon which was heading South and crossed the medium. His vehicle collided with a Serena seven-seater taxi that was heading north causing multiple injuries as well.
