TT/Barbados Share Diplomatic Missions in Africa

By Newsroom

Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados will share diplomatic missions in Nigeria and Ghana where the Heads of the Mission will be rotated every 24 months, alternating between the two countries.

The staff will be shared, likewise the cost.

Similar arrangements are expected to bear fruit in South Africa, where Trinidad and Tobago already has a mission.  Barbados is expected to operationalise a mission in Kenya which will be shared with Trinidad and Tobago.

There are plans for a similar arrangement in Abu Dhabi and South Korea, according to Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley.

Dr Rowley made the disclosure at the post-cabinet news briefing on Thursday where he reported on the just concluded Caricom meeting in Barbados.
