By Shirvan Williams

The T&T Red Force dominated the Guyana Harpy Eagles to book their spot in the CG United Super50 Cup final on Saturday, November 11. The Red Force whipped the Eagles by six wickets at Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba yesterday, November 8.

Guyana crumbled for just 105 inside 35 overs and T&T easily chased down the low target to win with 107/4 from 27.4 overs. The win means that T&T remains unbeaten this season. Fast bowler Terrance Hinds was the chief destroyer with 4/15. At one point Guyana were 25/4 in under nine overs.

Saturday’s final will be Sunil Narine’s last game for T&T as he has announced his retirement from international cricket.

“I appreciate it has been over four years since I last played for West Indies but today I am announcing my retirement from international cricket,” Narine wrote on Instagram. “Publicly I am a man of few words but privately there are a few people who have given me unwavering support throughout my career and helped me realise my dream of representing West Indies and to you I express my deepest gratitude.”

Narine has played 122 matches for the West Indies with a total of 165 wickets in his six Test matches, 65 ODIs, and 51 T20I appearances.
