The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force says it has launched an internal investigation, following reports that a soldier was involved in mischievous activity during last Tuesday’s $22million raid.

In a statement issued this afternoon, the TTDF said it was also cooperating with the TTPS on the matter.

Meanwhile, Police Commissioner, Gary Griffith has said the public should not as assume that the man caught on video pocketing items during last Tuesday’s million dollar raid, was in fact stealing money.

In an interview on CCN TV6  this morning, Commissioner Griffith said there’s no telling what was in the envelope, and called for citizens to hold their judgment until due process is completed.
