T&TEC Appoints New General Manager

The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has a new General Manager. According to the Commission, Curvis Francois is the new General Manager, effective from July 1, 2023.

Francois replaces Kelvin Ramsook, who retires today (June 30) after a 37-year career at T&TEC. He is an electrical engineer who joined the Commission in 1986 as an Engineer-in-Training. He holds an Executive MBA (Arthur Lok Jack GSB), a BSc in Electrical Engineering (UWI), and certification in Project Management and Reliability Engineering.

In a press release, T&TEC also stated that over the course of his career, he also gained extensive experience in all aspects of Distribution Plant design, construction, operations and maintenance. He also pioneered the implementation of an Enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) within the Commission.

He has held several managerial roles within the organisation, with his last appointment
being Chief Operating Officer in 2019.
