Two men were killed overnight in two separate incidents, taking the murder toll to 473 for the year.

The first incident took place at Kingdom Avenue in Arima, while the second happened at Picadilly Street in Port of Spain.

Earlier on Monday, another murder was reported on Picadilly Street.

Also on Monday, a double murder was reported at Freedom Street in Enterprise.

Meanwhile, cops  made the grisly discovery of two decapitated corpses stuffed inside garbage bags along Mon Plasir Road in Cunupia on Monday afternoon.

Authorities were alerted to the scene of the chilling crime after a passerby, who was reportedly picking flowers in preparation for Divali, spotted a human leg.

When police arrived, they discovered that it was not one but two bodies that were dumped.

The remains, including two decapitated heads, were found in a black plastic bag.

Due to the nature of the murder, determining identities will take some time, however homicide investigators have confirmed the victims were two men.

Investigators will look at the missing persons list to help them make identifications.
