Twenty year old sentenced to four years hard labour for three counts of Robbery

A 20-year-old man has been sentenced to four years hard labour for three counts of Robbery and two years hard labour for possession of Firearm and Ammunition on August 25th, 2022.

According to the police report OMARI GORDON, of Parforce Road, Gasparillo appeared before a San Fernando Magistrate and pleaded guilty to the offence of two counts of Robbery with Aggravation, Robbery with Violence, Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.

The police report on the matter stated that:

“On August 21st, 2022, officers received a report of a robbery at a Supermarket located along Ragoo Village, Debe. Officers investigated and GORDON was arrested and charged.

Meanwhile, in the Port-of-Spain Division, officers of the Belmont Police Station conducted an Anti-Crime Exercise on August 26th, 2022 during the period 5 am to 8:45 am. Officers conducting enquiries into a recent home invasion in the Belmont Police district got a break in the investigation and four search warrants were executed and four persons detained. Four cellphones, a quantity of US Currency, a motor vehicle and a quantity of jewellery were seized.”
