Two guns and marijuana seized at Scarborough Port Authority Compound

The TTPS has revealed that an intelligence-led exercise conducted at the Scarborough Port Authority Compound yesterday, November 6, has resulted in the arrest of one man and the seizure of two firearms and a quantity of marijuana by officers of the Tobago Divisional Task Force (TDTF) and the Canine Branch.

The exercise was conducted around 6:45 pm, on Sunday 6th November 2022 and officers conducted a search of a green Nissan B16 motor vehicle, which had disembarked from the inter-island ferry which was being driven by a 25-year-old Waterloo man.

According to a TTPS statement: “The search resulted in officers finding a Glock pistol and a Smith and Wesson pistol, both loaded with magazines. Three boxes containing 56.5 kilogrammes of marijuana were also found and seized from the vehicle.”

The suspect was arrested in connection with the finds. Investigations are ongoing. The exercise was spearheaded by Supt. Kirk, led by ASP Joseph and supervised by Sgt. (Ag.) Taylor and PC Guy, all of the TDTF.
