Two Men Arrested for Robbery Of A Maxi Taxi

Two male suspects have been held in connection with a report of Robbery of a Maxi Taxi and its Passengers along the Priority Busy Route, which occurred in the Arouca district on November 19, 2025.

Investigations into the incident culminated in the execution of an intelligence-led operation in the Northern Division by officers of the North Central Division Gang and Intelligence Unit, in conjunction with the South Western Division Task Force and the Special Forces Operations Detachment of the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force.

During the operation, the officers proceeded to a house in the Cumuto district, between 3 pm and 7 pm, on Thursday, 27 November 2025. There, they arrested two male suspects who were found inside a room of the house.

Further checks of the house resulted in one revolver loaded with six rounds of ammunition and eight rounds of assorted ammunition being discovered hidden inside a black lunch bag. The operation was spearheaded by DCP Martin, ACP Singh, ACP Thompson, and Snr. Supt. Gift and Supt. Jaggernauth, coordinated by Sgt. (Ag.) Dardaine, Sgt. (Ag.) Patrick of the SWDTF, and supervised by Cpl Scipio and Cpl (Ag.) Modeste.
