Kelly Junior Lall was sentenced to two months hard labor, when he appeared before a Siparia Magistrate on Monday, charged with possession of 49 marijuana plants.

The 34 year old man,  of Arena Village, Erin, was arrested and charged with cultivating marijuana on Sunday.

Police went to an area located near Partap Trace, Arena Village, Erin on Sunday where they observed the suspect standing near his home, among some vegetation. Further investigation revealed a total of forty-nine (49) fully-grown marijuana trees, planted in the ground as well as in several containers on the property.

Investigations were conducted by Cpls Lake and Prince, WPC Hospedales and members of the South Western Division Task Force.
