Two Trees Fall Along Brian Lara Promenade Following Heavy Winds

By Newsroom

Port of Spain City Corporation workers, Fire officials and T&TEC workmen quickly responded to reports of two fallen trees on Wednesday afternoon, which caused damage to power lines.

There were no reports of injuries as a result of the fall.

Heavy rainfall was recorded across the country on Wednesday, accompanied by gusty winds. A tropical system is currently impacting portions of the Leeward Island, with the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Office (TTMS) forecasting that the system could likely become a cyclone.

The TTMS says however, it poses no threat to Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada or its dependencies.
