Uh-Oh… Rapper Trinidad Jame$ Launches Sneakers Inspired By T&T’s National Flower, The…Hibiscus?

Rapper Trinidad James is coming under heavy fire after teaming up with Saucony to release a sneaker supposedly inspired by Trinidad and Tobago’s national flower.

The problem is, however, the sneaker is inspired by the hibiscus flower and not the Chaconia.

Many social media users have likened the situation to the Michael B Jordan J’ouvert rum fiasco, accusing celebrities of using Caribbean culture for clout.

Others pointed out a simple Google search for clarification could have saved the marketing team a major embarrassment.

James, whose real name is Nicholaus Joseph Williams, has apologized for the error, posting a 2:20 clip to his social media account, captioned: “Thank you for bringing to my attention of our error. Love and respect:
