The United States Embassy has issued a statement following reports which suggested that is purchasing Country Club in Maraval, saying the U.S. Department of State is still in discussions to relocate the U.S. Embassy in Port of Spain. 

Once a decision is concluded on a site, it said, the Embassy will issue a statement.
