The TTPS has revealed that a 15-year-old Venezuelan national, who resides in the South-Western Division, has appeared in the Children’s Court, charged with the murder of Anil Alladin.

According to the report, the teen appeared before Master Cielto Jones, on Friday 17th March 2023, to answer to the charge.

The matter was adjourned to April 14th, 2023.

Alladin, 41, of Partap Trace, South Oropouche, was at Pepper Village, Fyzabad, on Sunday 5th March 2023, when he got into an altercation with a minor. During the incident, the teen allegedly stabbed the victim in the chest. The victim died at the scene.

A male suspect was arrested in the Oropouche Police District on March 8th, 2023, by a team of officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region Three.

Investigations were supervised by Supt. Dhillpaul and included ASP Persad, Insp. Hosein and Sgts. Forbes and Smith, all of HBI Region Three.

The minor was charged on Thursday 16th March 2023, by PC Bhola, also of HBI Region Three, following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul, on that same date.
