The Point Lisas Desalination Plant is now up to 85% capacity, after an electrical problem at the facility over the weekend led to a disruption in supply for thousands of people in South-West and Central Trinidad.

WASA says it will continue to supplement the shortfall in supply by utilizing water from the Caroni and Navet Water Treatment Plants, as well as the Point Fortin Desalination Plant.
