WASA To Begin Repairs On Beetham Ruptured Sewer Line

By Newsroom

After outcry from Beetham Gardens residents about a ruptured sewer line which has posed both a physical hazard as well as left an unbearably foul scent in the community, the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has responded, saying the matter is being handled.

The partial failure of the roadway along 5th Street, Beetham Gardens, was caused by the collapse of the underground sewer pipeline in the area, WASA said in a statement on Monday.

“It should be noted that the Authority has been engaged in mobilizing the necessary equipment and material required to carry out the repair works, which are scheduled to commence on Thursday.”

“The Authority apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks residents for their patience and understanding,” WASA stated.
