Water disruption in the Diego Martin area

The Water and Sewerage Authority has advised that there is an interruption in the pipe-borne water supply from 12:00 noon today – Tuesday 31st May, to 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday 1st June,
2022, in the Diego Martin area.

In a statement, WASA explained that:

“This has become necessary in order to facilitate emergency repairs to a leaking 22 inch diameter pipeline, at the corner of Mercer Road and Diego Martin Main Road, Diego Martin. These works will be undertaken between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., in order to minimize the disruption to the flow of traffic at the jobsite.

Areas to be affected include:

Diego Martin Main Road from Crystal Stream to Wendy Fitzwilliam Boulevard including:
La Estancia, Mary Avenue, Anne Avenue, Eligon Avenue, Gopaul Avenue, Rich Plain Road and environs

Sierra Leone Road from Diego Martin Main Road to Morne Coco inclusive of all side streets.

Customers are also advised that it may take up to 12 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas following the completion of these repairs. Motorists are also advised to proceed with caution when approaching the job site and to obey the instructions of the Traffic Control Officers on duty.
