A man who threatened an off duty cop while liming at a bar in San Juan landed himself a charge for possession of a firearm and ammunition.
The officer reported to investigators that he was at an establishment at Saddle Road, San Juan, on Saturday when he had cause to speak with a patron about his unruly behaviour.
During the incident, the suspect allegedly pointed a firearm at the officer and made threats to shoot him before leaving the premises in a yellow Mazda 323 motor vehicle.
“But officers of the North Eastern Division Task Force (NEDTF), intercepted the vehicle in the vicinity of the NP Quick Shoppe, Saddle Road, San Juan. A search resulted in a pistol and magazine being discovered in the suspect’s possession, a TTPS Press Release stated.
The man of Anderson Street, Curepe was arrested in connection with the find.
On Sunday, meantime, one man was arrested and after cops found a revolver and four rounds of ammunition when they executed a search warrant at the Jacob Hill, Wallerfield, Arima home of a 25-year-old suspect.
